Zak Gordon, 54
Zak had always been successfully treated by his chiropractic physician over many years for intermittent lower back pain. After severely herniating a disc in his lumbar spine he had significant leg and back pain that was worsening. His physicians confirmed his diagnosis on MRI and referred him to the Institute for consideration of the Lordex procedure. After completing his Lordex treatment his pain levels diminished greatly and he was able to resume full work and recreational activities. "My primary care physician ordered an MRI and referred me to a back surgeon who then recommended immediate surgery. I wanted an alternative and my chiropractor referred me to Lordex. I waited until the pain was almost unbearable before I called and made an appointment." "I was unable to sit, drive for all but short trips, unable to hike, bike, kayak and walk any distance without severe pain. Basically, lost all joy in life without repeating my daily mantra, "I complained I had no shoes until I met a man with no feet". I was the closest I've ever been to experiencing true despair." "I can now manage a dramatically reduced level of pain. I can sit with my family at dinner, can drive without excruciating sciatic pain. I can enjoy walks and basically have regained a happier perspective on life." "I have been treated with compassion, concern and ulitimately as a friend. My desire to help myself get better was more than met by their desire to help me help myself!" "I have made certain adjustments in my daily life. I now stand at work. I start my day with 20 minutes of exercise and repeat at least twice daily. I do not sit when I can just as well stand. I've lost 15 pounds and intend to lose 15 more."
